Lucky Stiff
by Tonia Brown
Library of Erotic Horror Press-2010
Lucky Stiff is about a young college student, Peter Lyles, who accidentally overdoses while trying to cure a bout with insomnia and dies. His friends, in a panic, take him to a mystical woman, Madam Sangrail, who through a spell re-animates him. There is a difference in this particular zombification, this zombie is very aware of his condition and has to feed but the way that he feeds makes him the ‘lucky stiff.” Peter feeds on sexual energy and engages in a series of encounters that keep the other type of hunger at bay.
The novel is vastly different than is expected from a zombie novel. The reader might expect copious amounts of gore but in this story the reader is treated to an imaginative romance novel. The characters are well written, especially Madam Sangrail who is a delight to follow. One can almost hear the accent in which she speaks. The novel retains the reader’s interest easily and the love scenes are very steamy. “Lucky Stiff” is a great story to curl up with on cold nights or on warm evenings if the reader wants to kick the heat up a few notches. |
