Creatures from the Pink Lagoon
How many of you ghouls can say you have seen a gay zombie movie? Not to many I bet and this one without a doubt pulls no punches. I can honestly say this is the first and only openly gay zombie film I have seen and is without a doubt one of the best in the zombie genre as a whole.
Chris Diani sent me an awesome press kit to check out needless to say I was not disappointed. Now I know what you may be thinking "A gay zombie film?! Come on!", well throw that homophobic bull right out the window and check this soon to be classic out. I laughed throughout the movie and what makes it great is that it doesn't take itself seriously. The black and white effects were most excellent and Chris and crew did a bitchin' job.
Who said zombies weren't snazzy dressers?
We start out following Phillip and crew to a cabin to celebrate Phillips birthday. Well little did they know it wasn't going to be all fun and frolics. Things start out harmless and aside from Randall (Phillip D. Clarke) acting like a royal queen bitch, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. When a others of the male persuasion get bit by what seem to be harmless mosquitoes all hell breaks loose. Hey it's Phillips party and he'll cry if he wants to. Or will he? Well lets say these queens don't take the sudden gay zombie outbreak laying on their backs. This film delivers something for everyone, horror, zombies, gay stereotypes, and laughs galore. Dare I say, it's fabulous! You can check this out on Netflix or purchase it on Amazon so you can enjoy it time and time again. A big shout out and thanks to Chris and crew for allowing us to check out this film. Some classic B-film nerds may recognize a few pokes at Ed Wood Jr as well.
Who knew that in the right hands squirt guns could be so deadly?
